Ghar More Pardesiya, the first song from Karan Johar film Kalank, has been released and it is every bit a visual spectacle. After the teaser of Kalank, the first song has left expectations from the song soaring further. In Ghar More Pardesiya, the excellent Alia Bhatt tries to hold her own in front of a graceful and ageless Madhuri Dixit. The two lead actresses of Kalank present a beautiful jugalbandi for their viewers in Ghar More Pardesiya.
Sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Vaishali Mhade, Ghar More Pardesiya sees Madhuri Dixit and Alia Bhatt taking the stage by storm. With Madhuri directing the dance steps and Alia keeping up with her, the song is mesmerising to say the least. However, we don’t really see Madhuri Dixit dancing in the video, and that’s something viewers are going to really miss.
The lyrics of Ghar More Pardesiya are by Amitabh Bhattacharya and the music is by Pritam. Remo D’Souza has choreographed the number.
Apart from Madhuri and Alia, the song shows us glimpses of Varun Dhawan too.
Alia Bhatt has signed on to play the female lead opposite Ram Charan in Rajamouli’s mega epic period drama which chronicles the early days of freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
She was Rajamouli’s first choice but she came on board only recently after producer Danayya and director Rajamouli have agreed to pay what she demanded.
Alia Bhatta reportedly demanded more remuneration than what she gets for a Bollywood movie.
Rajamouli and Danayya have agreed after considering the fact that her presence would help for the movie’s North India market.
“Today I feel truly truly grateful.. Cannot wait to begin this beautiful journey with this stellar cast and massive team.. thank you @ssrajamouli sir for giving me this opportunity to be directed by you,” she thanked Rajamouli on Twitter.
This is the first time in Tollywood that an actress is receiving such huge pay check.
might have said they’re not planning to get married any time soon, but word on the street says otherwise. The latest buzz suggests that Bhatts and Kapoors are planning to fix the date soon for Ranbir and Alia’s marriage.
It doesn’t end there. The next update is that Ranbir and Alia are planning to buy a house in New York. The couple has been visiting the city quite often, as Ranbir’s father Rishi Kapoor was undergoing treatment there. A portal suggests that he has fallen in love with the city. Apparently, they are planning to buy a chic little studio. Neetu Kapoor has been hunting for several properties.
Regarding their marriage, a source told a portal, “Bhatts and Kapoors will meet a Pandit together to zero down on some auspicious dates for the shaadi and one of those dates will be finalised. There is loose talk that the Pandit meeting date has been fixed up for April. Fair enough, considering that Rishi is returning from the US, post his treatment, only in March-end.”
Recently, Neetu Kapoor who is with Rishi Kapoor in the US, hinted that they would be back in India soon. Rishi Kapoor had moved to the US last year for medical treatment. However, the exact nature of his illness has not been disclosed yet. In January, Rishi told a portal, “My treatment is on, hopefully I will recover soon and God willing I will return. The procedure is long and tedious and one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtue.”
Ever since Abhishek Varman’s ambitious period drama Kalank was announced, fans have been waiting with bated breath for a glimpse of the film, which features Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in key roles.
Producer Karan Johar took to social media to share the first look from Kalank. He wrote, “A film that was born in my heart and mind 15 years ago….a film I passionately believe in…the last film my father worked on before he left us….it was his dream to see this film come through….I couldn’t fulfil his dream then….my spirit was broken….but today his wish has found a relationship with celluloid….the story of turbulent relationships and eternal love has found a voice….the film has been woven, nurtured and visualised by ABHISHEK VARMAN….and the film Is KALANK! Set in the 40’s but it’s heart lives on…..TOMORROW the journey begins…..am excited …anxious and emotional about this one…I do hope you join us on our path to undying love..”
Top director S S Rajamouli is again approaching Alia Bhatt for the female lead for his latest mega period action drama tentatively titled “RRR” that features NTR Jr and Ram Charan as the lead stars.
The big-budgeted extravaganza that is said to be made with whopping Rs 300 Cr requires three female lead actors to play opposite these two male stars but Rajamouli is precisely looking for two heroines at this moment.
The other heroine will be finalised second half of 2019 as her character is not that important to the main story.
Rajamouli wants Alia Bhatt for the main female lead as he is bowled over by her performances in “Raazi”, “Gully Boy” and “Udta Punjab”.
She was earlier approached but busy actress said her inability to adjust dates to this epic movie.
Again, Rajamouli has ordered his production and casting team to approach whether she can adjust dates if she is provided more remuneration. Rajamouli is willing to pay big pay check to her if she provides priority dates.
His team will now talk to her. She is currently shooting with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor for “Brahmastra” being produced by Karan Johar.
