Did popular comedian in Telugu films Ali join the YSR Congress party only after party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy assured to make him Rajya Sabha member?
Well, that is what power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan feels.
Addressing a road show at Kotipalli bus stand centre in Rajahmundry, the power star wondered why Ali, who had been supporting all these years, suddenly decided to join YSR Congress party.
“I helped Ali a lot when he was in trouble. I wonder why he preferred to join the YSRC. Is it the way to reciprocate the friendship?” he asked.
He alleged that Ali was aspiring to become an MP and probably, Jagan might have given him an assurance to make him one.
“Apparently, Ali might have thought Jagan is a powerful leader. It is clear that YSRC leaders are using him for their political benefits,” he said.
Pawan accused Jagan being a power hungry politician.
“He tried to ascend the throne even before his father late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s body was laid to rest,” he said.
In the past, Pawan did not react on Ali’s joining the YSRC. He said Ali was free to join any party of his choice and that he was not depending on star power, but his own efforts.

In a happy and cheerful mood, both Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya are seen sitting next to each other with a bright smile on their faces. It’s a delightful poster to see both ‘mama’ and alludu’ together in one frame.
The first look poster certainly raises the expectations on the movie.
‘Venky Mama’ has village and army backdrop being directed by KS Ravindra. The first schedule of shooting is recently wrapped up.
Raashi Khanna and Paayal Rajput are romancing Chay and Venky respectively.
TRS government in Telangana is earning the name of being a “government run by Facebook Baap and Twitter Beta’.
CM KCR and his on KTR seem to be competing on social media through Facebook and Twitter.
While KCR has been responding to the posts put up by people on his Facebook, KTR is always very active on Twitter.
KCR recently took swift action on a Facebook post uploaded by a farmer in Macherial district who complained about huge corruption in revenue department and revenue officials registering his agriculture land on the name of others by taking bribe.
In a bid to garner cheap publicity before Lok Sabha polls, KCR directed district collector and revenue officials to resolve this issue without inquiring whether the post uploaded by the farmer was correct or not.
This backfired as a woman, who owned this land, took KCR to task for acting like a ‘filmy hero’ in initiating the action without doing proper inquiry by posting her audio recording on social media. Netizens expressed ire at KCR for his ‘publicity stunts’ before LS polls.
KCR’s Facebook account has been receiving hundreds of such complaints every day, who believe that KCR only responds to social media.
KCR is known to be ‘inaccessible’ to anyone. So people are banking on Facebook to reach out to KCR.
On the other hand, his son KTR is trying to resolve grievances of people through Twitter. He too became ‘inaccessible’ to people these days.
With TRS government running on social media, people started describing it as ‘sarkaar of Facebook Baap and Twitter Beta’.
The first promotional clip of Vijay Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade has created quite a stir, thanks to the passionate kiss that the actor shares on the screen with his leading lady Rashmika Mandanna. The Twitterati has launched into a rant calling Deverakonda Telugu cinema’s Emraan Hashmi and questioning the heroine’s moral values, asking her why she needs to indulge in intimate acts on the screen. While Vijay chooses not to react to what he feels is archaic cultural policing by idle social-media users, he is disturbed about the fact that his leading lady is being targeted with such harsh censure.
A source close to Vijay says, “He never expected the Twitterati to go into a rant over a harmless kiss. While he is used to raising hackles and eyebrows with his unorthodox roles and attitude, Vijay is appalled that his co-star is being targeted with unflattering comments.
Dear Comrade has several moments of intimacy between Vijay and Rashmika. Now he is in two minds as to how to deal with the intimacy quotient in Dear Comrade because he doesn’t want his leading lady to be targeted.” Many top actors, like Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, and Ram Charan choose not to do intimate scenes with their co-stars. This makes the stars who do intimate scenes easy targets for the Telugu audience. Vijay has a rather simple question for the audience. “Should a kiss even be the reason for debate and discussion in a country plagued with much bigger problems?,” he asks.

The unexpected victory of former minister T Jeevan Reddy and two other Congress-backed candidates in the MLC elections gave the much needed relief to the Congress party in Telangana.
The Congress leaders are hopeful that the results would bring to halt the exodus of party leaders into the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
What is more, they are also hopeful that those who had left the party in haste would also return to the party fold.
On Wednesday, Pradesh Congress Committee treasurer Gudur Narayan Reddy gave a call to those who left the party to come back as the people are disgusted with the TRS.
He particularly invited former minister and Maheshwaram MLA Sabita Indra Reddy to return to the Congress.
“Chevella Chellamma, Malli Ravamma,” he appealed to Sabita. He said Sabita had left the party out of anguish, but he said it would be good for her and the party to come back to the Congress.
He said the mood of people of Telangana was already against TRS in the assembly elections.
“However, chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao manipulated EVMs and indulged in other irregularities to win the polls. The MLC elections, which were held on ballot paper, have proved that it was the Congress, and not the TRS, for whom people have voted in last elections and wants to vote in future. Therefore, the Congress party is bound to win a majority of seats in forthcoming Lok Sabha elections,” he said.
Reddy said teachers, employees and graduates have voted against the TRS-backed candidates in MLC constituencies spread across 42 Assembly segments covering 7 erstwhile undivided districts of Telangana.
Congress leader T. Jeevan Reddy has won from a graduate constituency which includes Sircilla (represented by KTR) and Nizamabad (represented by K. Kavitha) with a majority of over 39,000 votes.
“This has proved that the defeat Jeevan Reddy suffered in the last Assembly elections was purely due to EVM manipulation by TRS. Similar is the case with other Assembly constituencies in Telangana,” he said.
After creating magic in “Baahubali” and “Baahubali 2”, S S Rajamouli is experimenting with casting for his latest period extravaganza.
