Rajamouli Refuses To Make Changes To #RRR

Media has been speculating that Rajamouli is considering to rope in a Bollywood actress for the female lead opposite Tarak’s character in #RRR.

British actress Daisy Edgar Jones was the first choice for this role, but she walked out of the project for some personal reasons.

Rajamouli has been looking for a replacement since then, but hasn’t found anyone suitable as yet.

The Baahubali director has been reportedly advised to alter the script so that they could rope in an Indian actress for the character. But Rajamouli is refusing to make any changes to the script now.

His team is looking for other options and have shortlisted a few of them. The female lead opposite Tarak will be finalized shortly.

Meanwhile, Raghupathi Raghava Rajaram is under serious consideration as the universal title for #RRR.

It will be made official once Rajamouli is convinced that there isn’t a better alternative than Raghupathi Raghava Rajaram.

Second Heroine Finalized for Allu Arjun

Director Trivikram has penchant for roping in an upcoming actress or a struggling actress for the second female lead to add glamour to the screen.

He takes in popular heroine as the main actress. In his current film with Allu Arjun, he has already finalized Pooja Hegde as the prime female lead.

Now he has given a major role to upcoming actress Ketika Sharma. She will be playing second heroine’s role.

Ketika first became popular with her Instagram photo shoots and videos and then landed in Puri Jagannadh’s son Akash Puri’s second film “Romantic”.

Ketika will be shaking a leg with Allu Arjun in couple of songs though the main romantic track will be on Pooja Hegde and Bunny.

The film will commence its second schedule shortly.

Intense, Powerful and Contemporary

The much awaited new poster of the upcoming ultra high budget film Saaho is out. The first poster of Saaho had Prabhas’s face covered with a muffler.

The new poster features a close up of Prabhas. The poster doesn’t look exciting at first glance, but it grows with a deeper look at it.

The color palette used for the poster is contemporary, stylish and has a Hollywoodish feel to it. The intensity in Prabhas’s eyes is the major highlight in Saaho’s poster. The stare is intense and intriguing.

The poster is impressive in its own way, but one would expect it to be far more exciting as the makers made us wait for so long to reveal it.

Let’s hope that this is just the beginning and there is a lot more stuff in the waiting.

Saaho directed by Sujith and produced by UV Creations is gearing up for 15th August release. It will have pan India release in multiple languages like Baahubali.

Nani signs Gang Leader

Other than its moving story, Jersey also showcases Nani’s outstanding performance skills. The movie has indeed earned the actor quite a reputation in the industry.

It has now been found that Nani has already signed his next film — a Vikram K. Kumar directorial titled Gang Leader. We have also learnt that its filming has commenced and its makers have locked the release date — August 30.

For the uninitiated, Gang Leader happens to be one of Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster movies. “Only when you watch the film will you understand why it has been titled so,” Nani said.

The actor further revealed that the film is, in fact, not a mafia-centric movie. “Its a family entertainer. We are attempting something no one’s ever attempted before,” he said. The movie is currently being shot on the outskirts of the city. Its makers are hoping to wrap up the filming before the end of June. And as far as Nani is concerned, he has several films lined up after this one. A busy bee, indeed.

O Baby to release during World Cup

As far as Telugu actresses are concerned, Samantha has delivered hits back-to-back in both Telugu and Tamil cinema and has received a fair amount of positive acclaim for her performances.

Now, apparently, producer D. Suresh Babu is planning to release her forthcoming film O Baby, directed by Nandini Reddy, in the middle of the impending World Cup series. “Samantha is a great actress, and I’m sure that her performance is going to stand out once again,” he said.

While many filmmakers are rescheduling to release their films after the World Cup, Suresh Babu has decided to go against the trend. “We’ve wrapped up all formalities for O Baby, so I’m planning to release it mostly during the imminent World Cup tournament. If the content is good, then the audience will inevitably show up to watch the film,” he explained.

Telangana Day events at Public Gardens

The state government has decided to hereafter celebrate the Independence Day, Republic Day and the State Formation Day at Public Gardens Lawns opposite Jubilee Hall instead of Golconda.

During the review meeting organised by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan with respect to the impending State Formation Day celebration, the Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to examine the possibilities of organising the celebrations without causing any inconvenience to the people.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, city police commissioner Anjani Kumar proposed the idea of conducting the celebrations in Public Garden Lawns opposite Jubilee Hall.

The idea was received well in view of the fact that both the Public Gardens Lawns and the Jubilee Hall are locations of historical significance.

Further, the officers present in the meeting agreed unanimously that the police and student parades in Telangana should be done away with like in many other states in India.

Officials further expressed that in addition to the flag hoisting and the chief guest’s address, they could also conduct At Home, poetic meets and award presentations as part of the celebrations. The review further explored if there was any scope for changes in the manner of conduct of the celebrations.

Officers concluded that since the State Formation Day falls on June 2, which most likely will be a hot summer day with the possibility of heat waves, it would be a bad idea to involve school children in the parades and other activities at the event.

After taking into consideration all the aforesaid inputs, Mr Rao directed the officials to start making arrangements to celebrate the impending State Formation Day at Public Gardens Lawns from 9.30 am to 10.30 am on June 2.

After slippers, stones, eggs thrown at Kamal Haasan

Stones and eggs were thrown by two persons at the dais where actor-politician Kamal Haasan addressed an election rally at Aravakuruchi in Tamil Nadu.

The two, who were taken into custody by the police, threw stones and eggs at Haasan when he was coming down the dais after addressing an election rally on Thursday night.

Cadres of Haasan’s party Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) attacked the two persons before police intervened and took the two to safety.

Later Haasan tweeted: “Dear MNM family and fans, this is an acid test for our decorum and demeanour. Do not listen to their noises and be drawn into their violence. They are extremists who are slighted by the Truth. Naalai Namadhey (tomorrow is ours)!”

The attack on Haasan follows the slipper thrown at him at Thiruparankundram at a poll rally on Wednesday night.

Police said the person who threw the slipper has been taken into custody. The slipper fell before the dais and not near Haasan.

At the meeting, a group of people shouted slogans. The police took 11 persons into custody.

On Sunday, at the Aravakuruchi Assembly constituency, Haasan, while campaigning for his party candidate, said about the killer of Mahatma Gandhi: “The first extremist of independent India was a Hindu — Nathuram Godse. It all started from there.”

Tamil Nadu Minister K.T. Rajenthra Bhalaji said the actor-politician’s tongue “should be cut”.

Haasan, not resting on Friday, said in a tweet that it is ignorance to have the name Hindu given by Mughals or by others who had ruled the nation before that.

Haasan said the 12 Alwars (Vaishnavite poet- saints) or the 63 Nayanmars (Saivaite poet- saints) did not mention the word Hindu.

Haasan said the term Hindu was given by Mughals or by others who came earlier to rule. “The British who later ruled the nation seconded the term Hindu”.

“When we have various identities, it is ignorance to have a title given by a foreignor as a religion,” Haasan said.

According to Haasan, even though the identity ‘Indian’ is of recent origin, it will live long.

He said: “It is a wrong choice of commercial politics and spiritualism to restrict our vast nation into a religion”.

SITA is about how woman should be ruthless: Teja

Director Teja said ‘SITA’ is all about a woman should be in this ruthless male dominated society and how she fights against all odds.

Teja added that he wrote the story of the film long back and narrated it to Kajal Aggarwal but the hero was different.

“I had a hero in my mind but Kajal said she won’t because of the hero. After few years, Kajal said she should only do ‘SITA’ as the role is apt to her. This is my third film with her and she did a fantastic job,” said Teja.

The female lead’s attitude is also the villain in the film and that should be watched on the big screen.

Talking about hero Bellamkonda Sreenivas, director Teja said, so far he did only commercial films.

“As he did commercial films mostly, I had my inhibitions. But he performed quite easily and it was me who struggled to tune to him. You will be see a new Sreenivas in this film,” stated Teja.

Teja praised actor Sonu Sood for his dedication.

“Sonu did not do Telugu films for a while. He asked me to narrate the script over the phone and he immediately liked it. Sonu selected his own costumes for the role and sent me,” said Teja.

‘SITA’ is releasing on May 24th.
